Winston County is a little treasure trove among the 82 counties in Mississippi.  Enjoy exploring nature in our state park, shopping in our downtown, dining in several local restaurants, connecting with old friends and new.  
Legion State Park is a short distance from The Mason. With its walking trails, camp site, and park for the kids, it is a great stop when visiting Louisville.
Shopping awaits you just a few steps from The Mason. Enjoy a leisurely stroll and pick up a gift for that special someone. Local dining at The Market Cafe' and JDogs Downtown Grill is just across the street.

Three local churches are located within walking distance of The Mason. First Presbyterian, Louisville Methodist and First Baptist Church would gladly welcome you as well as many other churches in the county. 
Family owned and operated, Lake Tiak O'Khata is known for their restaurant and southern cuisine, swimming area, and campgrounds. It is a true gem in Louisville and truly family oriented.

Mississippi State University, is a mere 30 minutes from Louisville. Enjoy the campus, MSU athletics, and the hustle and bustle of Starkvegas. Then a trip back to Louisville to slow down a little.
Bluff Lake, located within the Noxubee Refuge, has well-maintained walking trails and boardwalks and is great for fishing and birding. Enjoy nature and a beautiful setting.

A monument to Winston County's support of The Confederacy, the Spanish American War and World War 1, stands in the Middle of Main and Columbus Ave. It has seen Louisville through the worst and best of times and reflects the heritage of patriotism in Winston County.
Choctaw Lake Recreation Area is another great stop while in Louisville. Located only 15 minutes from The Mason, it is a great place for fishing, picnicking, nature trails, camping, boating, swimming and bicycling. With its 3 picnic pavilions, it's a great facility for family outings.
